Join us for a time of friendship, devotion, and inspiration as we kick off a new school year!
Homeschool veteran mom of seven, author, and retired missionary will kick off our morning with some encouragement and inspiration through God’s word! Then Salt & Light Global’s Katherine Bussard will share proven strategies for Homeschooling Through Highschool. This academic planning seminar will explore a variety of callings and practical tools for record keeping, as well as review what colleges and career programs are looking for academically from homeschoolers, equipping you to prepare your children for long-term success. You’ll be inspired with tools to help your child discover their highest calling in Christ and prepare a strong foundation for a purpose-filled career. Topics covered will include:
- Homeschool Freedom in MI
- How to Make an Academic Plan
- How to Keep Records and Maintain a Transcript
- Common Grade Scales
- How to Calculate a GPA
- Recommended Credits for Graduation
- Post-Secondary Career & College Options
- Tips for K-12 Record Keeping & More
Attendees will receive a resource folder with downloadable record-keeping templates and more.
Cost is$15 per mom (includes lunch). Childcare is available for an additional $5/ child or $10 / family for children ages 0-5 who are pre-registered. Plus, a delicious Coffee Bar & Cinnamon Rolls will be provided at registration check-in.
